Welcome! I'm Sokratis Kourtsidis, a Diploma Engineer in Electrical and Computer Engineering (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece) and a certified Data Scientist, currently based in Düsseldorf, Germany. My academic background spans electrical engineering, automation, computer science, mathematics, and statistics — a combination that gives me a strong theoretical foundation for working with modern AI systems. Over the years, my career has evolved from classical IT support and infrastructure engineering toward data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.

I am particularly passionate about the rapidly advancing field of AI Engineering, with a focus on: Large Language Models (LLMs) — frontier and open-source Local LLMs for Business — private, on-premise AI deployments AI Agents & Agentic Workflows, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), MLOps & AI system integration. I hold a professional qualification as an Engineer pursuant to §2 IngG NRW (the Engineering Act of North Rhine-Westphalia), and I completed an intensive Data Science training program at StackFuel GmbH in 2022.

My technical toolkit includes Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, LangChain, Hugging Face, SQL, Power BI, Docker, Azure, AWS, and more. Beyond my professional work, I run this website — Research.GR — as a personal knowledge hub where I explore, review, and discuss the latest developments in AI, LLMs, and emerging technologies. My goal is to bridge the gap between cutting-edge research and practical, real-world applications — especially for businesses looking to adopt AI responsibly and effectively. I am currently seeking a full-time position in the fields of AI Engineering, Data Science, or BI Analysis, where I can contribute my skills and continue growing alongside the technology.
