Research.GR is a personal website dedicated to the exploration and critical review of the latest developments in Artificial Intelligence, emerging technologies, and applied computer science. The name reflects the core philosophy of this site: a continuous, curious, and rigorous pursuit of understanding in a world that is being rapidly transformed by technology. This is not a news aggregator. It is not a corporate blog. Who Is Behind This Site?
My name is Sokratis Kourtsidis. I am a Diploma Engineer in Electrical and Computer Engineering (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Faculty of Engineering, School of Electrical and Computer Engineering) and a certified Data Scientist, based in Düsseldorf, Germany. My professional background spans electrical engineering, IT infrastructure, data science, and artificial intelligence. Over the years, I have worked across multiple industries and countries, gradually shifting my focus toward the field that I believe will define the next decade: AI and intelligent systems. I created this website for several reasons:
- To learn by writing — explaining a concept clearly is the best way to truly understand it.
- To document my journey — as I explore new tools, models, and techniques, I want to keep a structured record of what I discover.
- To contribute to the community — if my notes, reviews, or experiments help even one other engineer or curious mind, then this site has served its purpose.
- To build in public — this site is also, over time, a living portfolio that reflects my skills, interests, and technical depth.
